Characteristics of extraction bags
1. First, put the Bubble Ice Bags on the bucket, starting with the 25 microns bag (orange), then the 73 microns bag (yellow), and the 220 microns bag (blue). The bucket must be deep enough so that the filters of the Bubble Ice Bags do not touch the bottom.
2. Then pour cold water into the Bubble Ice Bags fitted on the bucket, until about halfway up the bucket. Then add the dry plants. They need to float in the water, so the water level must be high enough to cover the filters of the Bubble Ice Bags. The plants must be very dry to achieve the best results.
3. Add ice cubes until the bucket is completely full, leaving about 5 cm to prevent overflow. You need enough ice cubes so that they don't melt completely. Thus, the temperature of the mixture remains very low, which is very important for the extraction process.
4. Mix the mixture for at least 20 minutes. If all goes well, foam will appear on the surface. You can use a paint mixer attached to a drill, or a kitchen blender. It is very important to keep the temperature as low as possible, so that the plant glands harden and detach to end up in the filters of the Bubble Ice Bags.
5. After mixing the ice cubes and plants well, let them sit for at least half an hour. Once the settling time has passed, remove the bags from the bucket one by one in the opposite direction of step 1. Allow the water to flow through the filters from one bag to the next. The 1st 230 micron bag contains plant remains; you can filter them again or use them in cooking. The following bags contain extracts of different degrees of purity depending on the fineness of the filter. The last bag having the finest filter, the water is a little harder to extract: to achieve this, squeeze the upper end of the bag then lower your hand towards the filter while squeezing the bag.
6. Once the water is extracted from all the bags, turn them inside out to collect the deposits on each filter with a tablespoon or any similar object. Do not use sharp objects to avoid damaging the Bubble Ice Bags.
